South Carolina gives the public broad access to many court and county records, subject to confidentiality rules. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. The Calhoun County Clerk of Court handles Circuit and Family Court records. Probate Court handles estates, guardianship and conservatorship matters, marriage licenses, and related probate filings. Magistrate and Municipal Courts handle lower-level matters, while the Sheriff's Office and regional detention channels handle law-enforcement and custody records.
